The Newcastle High School redevlopment project is now complete. All areas are now open and in use by students and staff.

Thank you for your patience during construction. We are thrilled to deliver this project for the school community.

The benefits

A project to redevelop Newcastle High School by upgrading facilities to meet future demand is now complete. This project has delivered

  • a new 3-storey learning hub with a library, canteen and covered outdoor learning area (COLA)
  • facilities for specialist support classes
  • 37 new classrooms and 13 specialist spaces including new state-of-the-art hospitality classrooms and science labs 
  • a new multipurpose facility with gymnasium, stage, fitness lab, modern classrooms, outdoor courts and end of trip facilities
  • a new student hub within existing Building A and student entry from Parkway Avenue.

 

Key heritage buildings on the school site have also been retained.
