A variety of resources and templates have been developed to support schools in implementing food waste separation and management. Schools can download and customise.

• Risk management plan - A pre-populated risk management plan developed for the solving organic waste program that can be adapted for your school.
• Permission notes - A sample permission note for students to participate in the activities associated with the solving organic waste program as well as a permission to publish.
• Waste rosters - Sample roster for the green team to monitor the food scrap bins.
• Bin monitor sheets - Help the green team to keep a tally of the rubbish that doesn’t belong in the organic waste bins.
• Assembly announcements - A sample of a green team announcement to the school to help with the correct use of the food scrap bins.
• Class food waste activity - An activity that can be used in class to help students understand how much is wasted at school.

Different signs have been created to help educate the school community about food waste and to encourage the correct usage of the compost bins.  Schools can use these or create their own signs and posters to support the program.
