Oran Park Public School upgrade - Stage 2 completed project

As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild essential services, the 2023-24 Budget is delivering a record $8.8 billion for new and upgraded schools. This targeted investment in growing communities will ensure working families get access to a world class public education.

The new and upgraded facilities at Oran Park Public School are finished and in use by the school.

The benefits

  • 16 new classrooms, student amenities and services within 2 new building footprints 
  • Refurbishment of the kiln room into a storeroom 
  • Refurbishment of level 1 classrooms into the administration and staff area 
  • Refurbishment works to the special programs room in the library
  • Landscaping works
  • An extension to the existing kiss and ride with new vehicular entry off Dick Johnson Drive.

Modern Methods of Construction

This upgrade was delivered using modern methods of construction (MMC), which means that complex components were manufactured offsite and assembled onsite. 

In general, MMC assists the rapid delivery of high-quality, efficient and sustainable educational infrastructure and can help reduce the construction time onsite by up to 30 percent.
