Crawford Public School is a large, well resourced school situated in Western Sydney. We have a current enrolment of 485 students. A large proportion of our students have Non-English speaking backgrounds or are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. Crawford Public School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) School committed to providing educational programs in a caring environment based upon respect, community involvement and sound management practices. Our PBL program nurtures SAFE RESPECTFUL LEARNERS. We strive for excellence and equity in education through participation, effort and achievement. We encourage all members of our school community to reach their full potential through leadership, building individual character and promoting social responsibility. Our teachers acknowledge the individual academic and social needs of students and support their growth in a variety of interest areas including Creative Arts, Sports and Technology. Our students have access to Interactive Whiteboards (IWB), mobile laptops, video conferencing and a well-resourced computer lab. Our school's focus is student-learning outcomes through quality teaching and learning experiences. We encourage students to use their initiative to seek knowledge and develop their skills. We value the relationships we have with our families, some for generations, assisting us to create the links between school and home. We are a member of the Colebee Learning Community, a group of schools committed to working together to provide the best possible education for all students. Our pre-school to school and primary to secondary transition programs promote important links with our neighbouring schools for the benefit of our students.
