The $60 million Roof Replacement program will provide roof repairs and replacements to high priority schools while supporting local economies.

Where possible, the Department of Education will use the Local Trades Scheme when the works involve a single discipline and are lower in value. The Local Trades Scheme is a new online platform allowing local tradespeople to engage directly with government to bid for maintenance work at schools in their local communities.

The Roof Replacement program will benefit local communities by supporting more than 300 jobs across regional NSW and involve works at over 700 schools.
