Randwick High School

Randwick High School is a coeducational high school serving a large and invested community in the Eastern Suburbs. It opened as a new and striking identity in 2025, drawing on the well-established school communities and achievements of the former Randwick Boys and Girls High Schools. The strength of the school is clearly seen in the energy and determination of its young women and men, now shaping their bright futures together. More than $50 million is transforming Randwick High School as a coeducation setting of first choice. The generous site has highly specialised and modern facilities, including refurbished library, hall, fitness centre, learning hub, performing arts spaces, canteen, science and technology labs, kitchens, administration centres, professional hubs, staff study, practical workshops and industrial equipment, flexible lecture spaces, outdoor learning areas, manicured fields, and renovated and new classrooms. These upgrades exist within the signage, landscaping and aesthetics of the unified and very proud traditions of the Randwick precinct. With these changes, Randwick High School offers a broad curriculum and wide courses of study. As a significant feature of the school, young people may pursure numerous learning pathways, including tertiary degrees and trade related skills. Given the greater number of high potential and gifted students at the school, there is a focus on the subject rigour and high expectations that support academic success. Personal growth and achievement are priorities and there is also an emphasis on the practical application of skills that excite student motivation and interest. Major programs such as STEAM, recreational and competitive sport, the arts, multiple clubs, leadership, social justice, and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme, all lend themselves to a rich environment of engagement and learning. The Show is a major creative production that combines student talents from across the performing and creative arts, technical areas of sound and lighting, front-of-house service, through to imaginative costume design and set construction.
