Northern Beaches Secondary College Freshwater Senior Campus will transition from a Year 11 –12 senior campus to a Year 7–12 campus from 2027.
For 2026 Northern Beaches Secondary College (NBSC) Freshwater Campus will remain a Senior Campus with students in Years 11 and 12 only.
The new intake area is viewable via School Finder.
In 2027, the school will cater to Year 7 and Year 8 along with Years 11 and 12 students.
In 2028, the campus will be fully operational for Years 7-12.
As an interim measure, any student living in the NBSC Freshwater Campus intake area seeking a co-educational setting for Years 7, 8, 9 & 10 in 2026 or Years 9 & 10 in 2027 have guaranteed access to The Forest High School.

The change to a Years 7-12 campus is part of the NSW Governments commitment to guarantee access to co-educational settings for all students.
Which Northern Beaches Secondary College campuses have an option for Year 11 and 12 students?
All campuses in Northern Beaches Secondary Collegiate will continue high-quality educational provision for Years 11 and 12.
How will the current Northern Beaches Secondary College Freshwater Senior Campus have enough capacity for Years 7-12?
The department will invest in upgrading infrastructure at the site to make the Freshwater Campus the best possible learning environment for students.
How many students will the new Northern Beaches Secondary College Freshwater Campus enrol?
In line with the department’s enrolment policy, Northern Beaches Secondary College Freshwater Campus will accommodate all designated local intake area students.
If I don’t live in the Northern Beaches Secondary College Freshwater Campus intake area can I still enrol?
Non-local students may submit an enrolment application. Schools may accept enrolments from outside their designated intake area if places are available. If the demand for local enrolment exceeds the number of places available, non-local enrolments will not be available.
