As communities grow and change, the department sometimes needs to adjust local enrolment intake areas.Changes due to the Jerrabomberra High School.The new intake area for Jerrabomberra High School will apply for Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 enrolments commencing in the 2026 school year. For 2026, Jerrabomberra High School opens to Years 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11.Year 12 still need to apply to Karabar High School during this time.
From 2027 all grades will be accepted at Jerrabomberra High School.

Changes due to the new high school in Googong
A new intake area will apply for students living in the intake area for the new high school in Googong, with Years 7 and 8 enrolments commencing in the 2027 school year.
Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 will still need to apply to Karabar High School during this time.
The intake area for the new high school in Googong will apply to an additional grade of students each year after 2027, beginning with Year 9 in 2028 and Year 10 in 2029. Higher grades will still need to apply to Karabar High School during this time.
