Merewether High School
Merewether High School is an academically selective high school catering for approximately 1080 students from across a wide geographical area within the Hunter Region. The school has a broad curriculum focussing on high expectations of student academic achievement. Students are encouraged to participate in performing arts programs and sporting pursuits as well as a range of extra-curricular activities. The school has an experienced staff that demonstrates a commitment to achieving one's personal best to support its clientele of academically gifted and talented students. The development of technology is ongoing with continued access to applications that enhance the teaching and learning process. The school has an active parent body that supports the school with a variety of programs including welfare and environmental matters. Merewether High School has established a number of important links with the community to strengthen student outcomes by supporting student academic and welfare development.
