Gymea Technology High School
Gymea Technology High School is a co-educational, comprehensive high school with a focus on technology. There is an accelerated, selective technology class in each year offering the full range of technology electives from year 9 to 12. The school has a stable enrolment at around 720 students in Years 7 to 12. This allows students to become well known within the school community, and for staff to more easily interact with students allowing them to cater for individual needs and differences. The school attracts students from over thirty-five different primary schools with approximately 70% coming from outside the local feeder area. The school prides itself on the wide range of opportunities offered to students both within the curriculum and through extra-curricular activities. The school is staffed by dedicated, highly qualified teachers who celebrate student success in a positive climate which raises the self-esteem of students and allows them to strive for higher goals and greater endeavours. The school is supported by a strong parent community through the Parents and Citizens Association. Parents see the school as being readily accessible, supportive and a friendly, safe place for their children
