Hastings Secondary College, Port Macquarie Campus

We are a partner school of Hastings Secondary College located in Port Macquarie. We are a dynamic learning environment that provides a diverse curriculum that allows students to pursue individual pathways. We have shared curriculum with Westport Campus as part of the college, allowing students to study subjects not available at our campus. We offer extension courses in several subjects. We also offer a variety of Vocational Education courses that allow students to get school-based and Australian Framework Certification. The campus has dedicated teachers, students and parents often comment on the help and inspiration they get from them. The campus achieves excellent academic results. We support our high achieving students through our “Platinum “program. We have a dynamic transition program that allows students to start secondary school with confidence. Students have access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities. There are a variety of sports on offer with some students reaching Australian representative level. The campus has a variety of creative and performing arts programs. We have a choir, a show band, and a concert band. The Agriculture program is extensive with a Cattle Team that regularly competes in local shows. We also have public speaking, chess, Tournament of the Minds and debating teams of a high standard. The campus is involved in many community activities including the Anzac Day March, Iron Man, Red Shield Day and Relay for Life. Our students are a dynamic part of our community. The campus has a well-structured student wellbeing program that caters to the needs of individuals. The introduction of the Connect Program focusses on developing each student's skills and understandings, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy. The campus also has a values-based program with agreed values of Safe – Respectful – Personal Best We give each of our students' care and attention that allows them to develop their potential and feel part of a warm and supportive environment.
