Blacktown Boys High School
Blacktown Boys is a Partially Selective High School focusing on the unique needs of boys living in modern society. Our motto is Learn to Live. To make this a reality we emphasise self discipline, a broad challenging curriculum and a clear focus on teaching and learning. Facilities include: three computer rooms; photography darkroom; two connected classrooms; interactive whiteboards; state of the art kitchen facility; newly refurbished science labs; separate rugby, soccer, cricket and baseball fields; new tennis courts; drama space and a large school hall. Students also access a wide range of musical instruments as part of elective music classes. The school enjoys a strong tradition in sport and the creative arts; as well as a long history of academic success. Blacktown Boys alumni are represented in the medical, legal, education and other professional fields, together with a variety of trades, creative and performing arts and sport. Since 2010 the school has been partially selective; enrolling students who have been successful in the state wide Selective High School entry test. This selective class complements our existing GTi (gifted and talented class). We also continue to offer comprehensive high school positions to young men in western Sydney who embrace our values and behaviour code and who wish to pursue a single sex education option.
