Port Hacking High School
Port Hacking High School a large secondary comprehensive school in the Port Hacking Network of schools and is known for its performing arts, sporting and academic achievements. Demand for places is high and there are waiting lists for most years. Port Hacking provides a stimulating and caring environment which produces young adults who have the intelligence, the skills, the confidence and the moral values to make the right choices in their lives. We believe that all members of the Port Hacking community have a responsibility to work together to achieve quality learning outcomes for students. Courtesy, respect and striving to achieve one's personal best are integral to our school. We provide an extension class for talented academic students, specialist support for literacy and numeracy, expert tuition in the performing arts, and a student leadership program which produces outstanding school captains and prefects. Each year, our new year 7 students and our Year 12's nominate the quality of the teaching staff and the close relationships they build with students as the prime feature of the school. This is reflected in our outstanding Higher School Certificate results which can be viewed in the Annual School Report on the school's website.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories.
