Mosman Public School
Mosman Public School is located in a beautiful, leafy environment in the centre of Mosman. Our children come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including many for whom English is their second language. Our enrolment also includes a significant number of visiting students from all corners of the world. We have an experienced, dedicated and dynamic teaching staff who demonstrate a wide range of skills and expertise. Strong academic achievement, underpinned by high expectations from both parents and teachers, is a feature of the school. Community and staff collaborate to encourage children to be cooperative, to respect the rights of others and to demonstrate concern for the environment. We provide opportunities for children to be confident and creative, to have a positive attitude to learning and to strive for excellence. In addition to the Key Learning Areas, Mandarin is taught to all students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school operates a comprehensive and inclusive music program, with bands, ensembles, choirs and dance. We have an extensive physical education program with specialist tuition in gymnastics and swimming. The school is exceptionally well resourced, thanks to strong community involvement through a very active Parents and Citizens Association. We have an excellent technology infrastructure, which is both cabled and wireless, and all classrooms have an interactive whiteboard. We also have two 'connected classrooms' which enables teachers and students to conference with other schools and organisations, local, interstate and overseas. In addition to the interactive whiteboard, every classroom has a bank of computers and all students have access to a well equipped computer laboratory. The school has a set of laptops for classroom use and is currently introducing iPads to support teaching and learning.
