Croydon Public School
Croydon Public School is a well-established school in Sydney's inner west. It has provided quality education for 130 years. A range of modern buildings were erected in 1977 and 2010 to cater for its current role. The original heritage building remains the centre of the school. A significant number of families has been associated with the school for several generations. We have a very active Parents and Citizens Association and community and school expectations are high. Currently we have approximately 705 students from over 25 ethnic backgrounds. The students are very co-operative and tolerant of each other giving the school a positive and friendly tone. Croydon Public School is fortunate to have a dynamic staff with a wide range of experience. They have strong professional abilities, enthusiasm and diverse cultural interests. At Croydon Public School we focus successfully on our core business of literacy and numeracy and they take precedence in all organisation and timetabling. The school offers a diverse curriculum with students having the opportunity to participate in a wide range of learning experiences including band, choir, strings, dance, debating, camps, drama and PSSA sport. This creates the essence of a broad and rich education.
