Red Hill Environmental Education Centre
Red Hill Environmental Education Centre is part of the NSW Department of Education and Training network of 24 Environmental Education Centres situated throughout New South Wales. The unique historic environment of Gulgong and the surrounding area is a feature of many of our built environment programs. Red Hill EEC provides natural and built environment programs for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Outreach and professional development services, including assistance with the development of School Environmental Management Plans are also offered by Red Hill Staff. The Centre has excellent facilities and grounds which offer all visitors a rich and unique learning experience. This leads visitors to: gain an understanding and awareness of all aspects of the environment; develop an ethic of care and respect for the environment and each other; and to make life changing decisions to ensure the future care of the environment.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
