Coreen School
Coreen School is a special education facility catering for secondary age students from Years 7 to 12. All students have been assessed as having a mild to moderate intellectual disability (IM/IO), emotional disturbance (ED), behaviour disorder and/or challenging behaviours and learning difficulties. Coreen School provides an alternative educational setting for students who have experienced difficulties in regular classroom settings or within support units in regular schools. Small class sizes, life skills curriculum, high school model and good facilities support quality teaching. The school draws most students from the Parramatta, Blacktown, Nepean and Hawkesbury local government areas and is located near the Blacktown bus/rail interchange. The school receives additional funding through the Priority Schools Program (PSP).
