Bletchington Public School
Bletchington Public School was established on the Northern edge of Orange in 1957, and recent residential development has resulted in significant growth for the school. In response to this growth Bletchington Public School is undergoing a period of rapid change. Changes are underpinned by strong leadership through strategic planning. Considerable building upgrades and groundworks are at present being completed. These upgrades include new a new library, administration block, hall, multiple classrooms, security fencing, canteen, toilets and playground improvements. As a literacy/ numeracy partnership school Bletchington Public School is developing a strong focus on literacy through Reading To Learn. Technology is also a major focus as is student welfare through the PBL program.A major thrust for Bletchington is a review of school policies and school management to better reflect the school's increase in size.Significant school programs include the performing arts, representative sporting teams and a strong community focus. The school has an experienced staff with an increasing number of younger teachers.
