Nirimba Fields Public School is situated in the new suburb of Nirimba Fields. The school is in the Quakers Hill Principal's Network and has strong partnerships with the Nurringingy Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and the Blacktown Learning Community of schools. As communities grow and change, the department sometimes needs to adjust local enrolment intake areas. These changes help keep enrolments balanced across schools and make sure every student can access high-quality public education in well-resourced, supportive learning environments.

Yes, they can. There is no change for students already attending this school.

I have a child already attending this school. Can I enrol their sibling/s at the same school?

Siblings of currently enrolled students will be assessed under the departments  enrolment policy.

Families with a child currently enrolled at their assigned local school will retain the ability to enrol siblings at the same school, even if there are changes to the intake area boundaries that make their home address out-of-area.

Can I still apply for enrolment in other public schools outside my local school intake area?

How are new intake areas developed?

Many factors are considered to inform the development of new intake areas for example:

- enrolment trends

- opportunities to align with primary school and high school local intake areas

- public transport access

- the size and utilisation rate of schools

- the number of students living in each proposed intake area

- and the physical capacity of schools to enrol students.

As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the NSW Budget is delivering $4.1 billion for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education. We’re excited to share that construction of Nirimba Fields Public School is complete and students moved into their new facilities on 27 May 2026, ahead of schedule. The on-site public preschool will include preschool rooms, an outside play area, administration, staff kitchen, amenities, car park, and associated landscaping. Construction will be complete by Day 1 Term 1 2027.

Maintenance

To ensure the safety, reliability and longevity of our schools, every school across NSW receives maintenance. The Department undertakes preventative and routine maintenance every year, and repairs as needed. The Department also reviews the planned maintenance program for each school every year and reviews those items that are predicted to require work to help prolong the life of the school buildings and facilities.

Demountables

Demountables have been part of the NSW education system for many decades and will continue to be used across the state. Demountable classrooms are modern, air-conditioned rooms that provide students and teaching staff with excellent quality facilities. The learning spaces have the same range of technology that is available in permanent spaces. We review school accommodation needs each year, looking at changing enrolment patterns and other factors to prepare for the upcoming school year. This helps to identify schools that need new demountables and schools where they can removed. Most demountable movement takes place between October and February and we report our annual demountable statistics each April. Additional demountable installations can occur outside this window to support capital works and maintenance projects in schools or emergency responses to natural disasters.
