Sydney Distance Education Primary School

Sydney Distance Education Primary School (SDEPS) provides for Government and Non-Government students from the Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter and Wollongong regions and beyond who require access to Primary Distance Education. The majority of our students are residing temporarily overseas or travelling within Australia for family holidays or work commitments. Some families may relocate overseas for employment opportunities, missionary or humanitarian aid programs or personal reasons. We welcome those students with medical or additional support needs with innovative, challenging and highly enjoyable learning programs. All students receive an engaging, personalised learning program addressing outcomes in all learning areas of the New South Wales Primary Curriculum and in line with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) requirements. The school is widely acknowledged for its highly focussed leadership in the development of excellent quality resources and personalised learning programs which have contributed to the school's outstanding academic results, consistently above national trends. Much effort in recent years has been devoted to the development of e-learning strategies and platforms to meet the needs of the school's diverse student population that reaches around the globe. The significant increase in enrolment numbers in recent years is testament to the high standard of education provided by this unique, dynamic and evolving school. We are well-placed to meet the needs of students in an increasingly complex, yet flexible, digital age.  SDEPS continues to lead in outstanding resource development, innovative technologies and exemplary teaching within a friendly and nurturing environment where every student is highly valued and respected.
