Minnamurra Public School
Minnamurra Public School sits in a beautiful coastal environment near the Minnamurra River. The school motto, "Learning to Live, Learning to care", depicts the ethos that students develop skills to make them effective participants in society. There is a focus on fostering positive and inclusive learning environments, where students are encouraged to be responsible, be respectful and be their best. The school maintains high expectations of success for all students, with quality learning programs delivered by experienced and committed staff. Regular opportunities are provided for students to develop and demonstrate their talents and interests in all areas, including sport and creative arts. Differentiated learning occurs throughout the school to cater for the individual learning needs of students, including specialist group instruction for Gifted students. In addition to mainstream classes, the school also has an Autism support class. The school values collaboration with an active and supportive P&C association as well as the Kiama Community of Schools.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories.
