Sanctuary Point Public School

Sanctuary Point Public School is located on the shores of St Georges Basin and is part of the Bay and Basin Learning Community. Our school is set in a low socio-economic community and as such has attracted significant funding over the past four years to support the students and to make improvements to student social, emotional and academic achievement. We now have more than 520 students including students in our 5 special support classes and more than 100 Aboriginal students. In 2014 the students, staff and school community of Sanctuary Point Public School established a far reaching and ambitious plan of school improvement that was designed to complement the work and achievements made over the years since 2010. In 2015 we began the implementation of our three key priorities: - Implementing curriculum and 21st Century Pedagogies - Improving student and staff wellbeing - Engaging our community in the school and engaging our school in the community We continue to work in partnership with our school community to achieve four strategic goals for our students by the end of 2017: - All students will expect to succeed. - All students will come to school every day unless they are truly sick. - All students will fully participate in learning. - And all students will be willing and able to take on learning and life challenges.
