Curran Public School

Curran Public School, in Macquarie Fields, is supported by the Priority Schools Program. The school provides for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and also has a Special Education Support Unit of 3 classes to cater for students of moderate intellectual disabilities and autism. Our school aims to equip students for a future of life long learning and ensures that everyone experiences success and has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Teaching and learning programs focus on developing the skills of literacy and numeracy through all Key Learning Areas within a caring environment shared by the whole school community. Students have access to technology combined with quality teaching practice based on a firm understanding of individual student needs. Values are taught explicitly in classrooms through activities and relationships between the school and its community. Staff is committed to our values and assist students by modelling and reinforcing consistent behaviour within our 5 core values of teamwork, respect, responsibility, honesty and commitment.
