Nowra East Public School

Nowra East PS is a dynamic, community-based school located on the New South Wales South Coast. We provide excellent learning programs, a committed and professional staff and a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all 420 students. Our school has a significant enrolment of Aboriginal students and a strong respect for culture and Indigenous perspectives are embedded in all areas of learning. We have a Department of Education preschool, 15 mainstream classes and 5 support classes. Our school values are safe, respectful, responsible learners. This is reflected in our whole school Positive Behaviour for Learning strategy that focuses on respecting each other, taking responsibility for our actions, safe practices and a love for learning.

Nowra East Public School is an Early Action for Success partner and has a focus on literacy, numeracy and student engagement. All staff engage in high quality professional learning using current evidence-based pedagogy. Our school has an enviable reputation in student achievement and wellbeing with our academic, cultural, Our Mia Mia Wellbeing Hub and sporting programs engaging students in a wide range of quality learning experiences. Nowra East Public School is situated in the Shoalhaven area of the South Coast. It is a school that is strongly committed to providing a positive environment so that each child can achieve his or her personal best.
