Hannans Road Public School
At Hannans Road we strive to empower our school community with the confidence, skills and knowledge to be active citizens. Through an inclusive culture we value and promote confident and creative thinkers, respectful and successful learners and collaborative partnerships. Hannans Road is a small community school of approximately 170 students including 78% EAL/D 5% Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander. The school comprises of staff from experienced to early career teachers dedicated to improving school learning outcomes. Literacy, numeracy and student engagement have been priority areas and the school has an Instructional Leader as part of the Early Action For Success strategy. The school has a emphasis on 21st century learning skills with most classes engaging in Project Based Learning and Self Organised Learning Environments.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
