Cambridge Park Public School
Cambridge Park Public School started in February 1958 and was officially opened by Mr F. R. Astle, Inspector of Schools, Penrith Inspectorate, on 9 August 1958. At the time the school consisted of three wooden portable rooms. When the school opened in 1958 Mr Maroney was the Principal and he had two assistant teachers. There were 97 students. In 2010 there will be an enrolment of over 525 students and 40 preschoolers. The school supports 18 mainstream classes, three support classes and a full day pre-school. There is a full time teaching staff of 21 plus two non-teaching executive members, a support teacher (learning difficulties) and two part-time release from face-to-face teachers. Nine school learning support officers support the special education unit, preschool, integration and Norta Norta programs.The school forms part of the Penrith District and is one in which staff, students and parents work as a team towards excellence incorporating the PBL values.
