Point Clare Public School is an inclusive, innovative and engaging learning environment that develops resilient, self directed learners. In our school the teaching, administrative and support staff are dedicated, accountable and inspiring professionals. Together we support the development of critical and creative thinkers and we make meaningful connections with our families and the wider community.

Connections with the school community are strengthened through an active P and C and student led initiatives including parliament, peer support and buddy groupings. The school enhances the educational opportunities afforded every student by building effective and productive relationships between the school and home.

Point Clare Public School has achieved outstanding NAPLAN results over the past four years and is currently implementing a Visible Learning - School Impact Program that focuses on delivering evidence based teaching and creating self-directed learners.

Departmental core values of respect, responsibility and participation are recognised through our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program which provides tangible rewards for personal responsibility, personal best academic achievement and respectful behaviour towards others.

Teaching and Learning programs are aligned to current NSW syllabus documents with student progress being addressed through Semester based written reports. All students are catered for through Stage based teaching programs, academic enrichment opportunities and/or acceleration where appropriate. We have a strong Learning Support team assisted by a School Counsellor and an experienced Literacy and Numeracy Intervention teacher.
