Yennora Public School
Yennora Public School is located in south-western Sydney, in the Local Government Area of Fairfield and is part of the Auburn network of schools. The current population of 260 students is culturally and linguistically diverse with 94% of students from language backgrounds other than English. Arabic has a representation of 54% with the remaining population representing 26 different language backgrounds. The school's Support Unit has seven classes catering for students with severe to moderate intellectual disability and autism. The school culture is firmly focused on learning K-6 and improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students by developing inclusive programs. The school leadership team are dedicated and caring staff who maintain high expectations, aspirations and responsibility for the achievement of every student. Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is integral to our school’s well-being program. PBL is an evidence-based framework that brings together the whole-school community to contribute to developing a positive, safe and supportive learning culture.
