Farmborough Road Public School
Farmborough Road P.S. (established in 1956) is located in the Wollongong suburb of Unanderra, serving the Unanderra and Farmborough Heights communities. The school's motto 'Onward and Upward' guides the school's operations as it strives to provide a safe and caring learning environment, catering for the diverse needs of all students. The professional and supportive staff recognise, value and support students' individual differences and abilities through the implementation of a range of educational programs. Students have the opportunity to participate in outstanding programs in literacy, numeracy, environment, dance, choir, public speaking, debating, welfare, technology and sport. The Families at Farmborough Community Centre, located in the school grounds, offers a range of programs for children and their families. The Transition to School Program has been developed to support students moving into formal schooling for the first time. The school has an active and supportive Parents and Citizens Committee that together with the wider school community are involved in many aspects of school life. This partnership focuses on improving student learning outcomes, supporting school programs and celebrating achievements.
