Oyster Bay Public School

Oyster Bay Public School is a dynamic school with strong community involvement. The school is underpinned by the core values of acceptance, compassion, happiness, loyalty, respect and a fair go. The school was established in 1944. Enrolments continue to rise with the school exceeding over 400 students in 2014. Oyster Bay Public School maintains an excellent reputation within the Sutherland Shire for outstanding academic achievements. The school provides diverse creative arts programs such as band, choir, an artist in residence and dance. Students are able to access broad sporting opportunities. The staff are dedicated and committed to the wholistic growth of the students in their care. Further outstanding initiatives include student leadership, literacy and transition. The school's Fair Discipline Policy, Learning Support Team, Restorative Practices Initiative, Playground Post Program and Anti-Bullying strategies provide a positive environment in which students feel safe and secure. The extremely hard working Parents and Citizens organise an Annual Art Craft Festival. This Festival has featured for the last forty four years across Sydney Region.
