Ulmarra Public School
Ulmarra Public School is located 12 kms north of Grafton in an historic river port village. The school has a student enrolment of around 80 and enjoys the support of a dynamic, committed and energetic community. Its dedicated staff has a good balance of highly qualified and experienced teachers and young and enthusiastic recent graduates. We have a strong Information and Communication Technology (ICT) focus with fully networked computers, interactive whiteboards in all classrooms and videoconferencing facilities. We offer quality programs for students with special needs plus enrichment programs for gifted and talented students. Our junior students regularly achieve reading results 1 to 2 years ahead of expected levels. We run a pre-school transition program one day per week for the entire school year. Opportunities exist for all students to participate in the performing arts, leadership roles and sporting teams as our school has developed and nurtured an inclusive culture. Our School Parliament is actively involved in school decision making. Extra-curricular programs include film making, Brain Gym, The Perceptual Motor Skills Program and a gifted and talented ICT class.
