The Sir Henry Parkes Memorial Public School
The Sir Henry Parkes Memorial Public School is a rural primary school (approximately 270 students) in Tenterfield, in the Northern Tablelands of NSW. Our school community is committed to providing a caring, tolerant and supportive educational environment. We strive to ensure personal success and the pursuit of individual excellence for all members of our learning community. This is fostered through quality teaching and learning programs in a climate of continuous and consistent improvement and professional response to student needs. As well as a strong curricular focus, our school provides students with a range of challenging opportunities such as: - problem solving, technology, debating, choral and leadership skills. Student involvement and success is evident in our effective and inclusive Student Representative Council, our debating teams and a wide range of competitive sporting teams.The community is very well established in our school's fabric with a constructive Parents and Citizens Association and Infants Club. The school fosters student well being and the school rules of Be Kind. Be Safe, Be Fair and Be Co-operative are reinforced with the school community at all times.
