Smithtown Public School

Smithtown Public School is a small, rural school located on the banks of the Macleay River. The village of Smithtown has a population of approximately 1000 residents with strong community values. Our school's mission statement is 'innovation,opportunity and success'. This is achieved through dedicated and innovative teachers catering for individual needs in a safe and stimulating environment. We aim for academic excellence in all Key Learning Areas, integrating innovative technologies in preparation for future challenges. Personal development programs as well as a strong peer suppport network and culture provides a caring and supportive learning environment which builds on strong community values, developing individuals and civic responsibility. The school motto 'Ever Onward' is promoted within the school and the community. Our valued parent community is involved in all aspects of school life, developing genuine partnerships to support all aspects of student development.
