Mendooran Central School
As a K to 12 school, Mendooran Central School is proud to have a cohesive environment where highly-dedicated staff are able to cater for individual differences within a caring and supportive environment. The core values of the school are integrity, excellence, respect, responsibility, co-operation, participation, care, fairness and democracy. Extra curricular activities include an annual horse sports day, intensive swimming program, both primary and secondary debating teams, a chess club, after-school sports and many team sport activities. Specialist educational programs include middle years Literacy and Numeracy classes, Reading To Learn and Reading Recovery. Our school motto is 'Learn to Live'. Our school mission statement is to fulfil the educational needs of our students by providing a stimulating learning experience, providing support and encouragement for each student, using quality teaching and administration programs and methods and maintaining an environment which reflects the excellence for which we strive.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
