Bexley North Public School
Bexley North Public School is situated in the St George area and provides a friendly and caring environment with a stimulating and challenging curriculum. Staff, students and the community have shared expectations of educational excellence and equal opportunity. The school has strong links with, and is well supported by, the local community. The student body comprises approximately 75% from a Language other than English background. An outstanding leadership program for primary students exists with the establishment of a Student Parliament, including caucus representation from each class. The school has a successful sports program incorporating school, district and zone events. Emphasis is placed on the development of skills, good teamwork and sportsmanship. Students also participate in a highly recognised performing arts program incorporating concert and training bands, recorder and violin ensembles, choir and dance groups. Public Speaking is also a major focus for all students. The school also conducts an Italian language program, while Greek school, utilising school facilities,is offered after school.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories.
