Epping Public School
Epping Public School provides students with quality educational programs delivered by highly qualified, dedicated teachers. Ours is a multicultural school which prides itself on catering for parents and students from non-English speaking backgrounds. Our mission is to promote and advance the intellectual, social, physical and moral development of all students to become responsible, contributing citizens and lifelong learners. Epping Public School has existed on its present site for over 100 years. Our school population is approximately 350 students, of which 70% come from a language background other than English. Our school rules are linked intrinsically to our core values of being prepared, being safe, being respectful and being proud. We focus on literacy, numeracy and recognise the importance of technology. We foster and embrace it as a tool to support the learning of all students. Our school delivers strong student welfare programs that promote student endeavours and ensure the safety and wellbeing of students. The school has excelled in many areas. Our most recent achievements include excellent results in NAPLAN, regional debating finalists and representation at the state final of the multicultural speaking competition. The school has a highly acclaimed band, a choir, competitive sporting teams, active student leadership, debating teams and public speaking programs. At Epping Public School we offer: quality literacy and numeracy programs; extensive multicultural programs; effective student welfare programs; extra-curricula opportunities; innovative technology to support learning; and before and after school care. Our facilities include: beautiful heritage buildings; an air conditioned computer lab with 30 computers; a well resourced library; interactive whiteboards being introduced into classrooms; video conferencing facilities; a new school hall; and dedicated ESL rooms. The school community values the quality programs we offer within a supportive and caring environment. They are very active around our school and contribute in many ways including fundraising, classroom support, band program, grounds beautification, canteen and uniform sales.
