Dareton Public School
Dareton Public School is situated within the small township of Dareton near the Victorian and South Australian borders.The school has an enrolment of about 85 with about 90% indigenous. Our long term goals are to acknowledge and respect the cultural heritage and traditions of our school community. We aim to provide an inclusive curriculum which caters for the individual needs of the students. We aim to increase student outcomes and achievements to enable all students to experience success. We involve the parent body and wider community in all school activities; and to develop the professional needs of all staff; and to develop and to maintain a physical environment that is safe and pleasing.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
