Crabbes Creek Public School

Crabbes Creek Public School is committed to excellence in education by providing a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which students can develop their full potential. The school provides quality education to the small village of Crabbes Creek and its neighbouring coastal community. Teachers at our school acknowledge that the quality of teaching occurring in the classroom every day, is the single most important influence on student performance. The school and its community have high expectations of students and value the provision of exposing them to a variety of quality learning opportunities. Students' resilience, self-confidence and success are fostered through specifically targeted initiatives in academic, cultural and sporting areas. A strong partnership exists between the school and its parent body. This partnership reflects shared values that we, as parents and teachers, instil and nurture in our students. All classrooms are equipped with computers, iPads, interactive touchscreens and air conditioning. The school is set in beautiful spacious grounds, combining level playing areas with attractive award winning gardens, it has a vegetable patch and is environmentally conscious.

Flood recovery update

The NSW Department of Education is coordinating an emergency response effort that is unprecedented in terms of scale and impact. A large number of schools in the Northern Rivers region have damage to either the entire site or some buildings and facilities.

The local School Infrastructure NSW office has inspected all schools in flood-impacted areas and has removed rubbish, cleaned and secured affected sites to ensure they are safe. Teams are repairing and remediating schools that were damaged during the foods and assessing works needed to rebuild the worst affected schools.

Crabbes Creek Public School suffered a significant amount of damage as a result of the flood events with a large number of buildings being inundated with flood waters.

Regular communication relating to the progress of works at Crabbes Creek Public School will continue to be updated to this page in the ‘Flood Recovery Updates’ section below.
