Bundarra Central School

All young people deserve opportunities and support to succeed in life.' We aim to maximise life skills in as many students as possible. Bundarra Central School is an innovative school set in a picturesque location on the banks of the Gwydir River. Our school curently has approximately 160 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and includes adult learners accessing TAFE. The grounds, gardens, and neat and clean appearance obviously contribute to the tone of an orderly, safe and productive school environment. The school has a family atmosphere with close ties to the community and a culture of close student support whilst achieving at the highest levels of interschool competition in sport. There are three primary classes and classes in Years 7 to 12 are taught by eight teachers. Years 11 and 12 are co-taught by Bundarra Central School teachers and teachers from Dubbo School of Distance Education using classroom and innovative online and video conference facilities. Students are involved in 'School to Work' programs in partnership with local properties and service clubs.The school is a member of the Sapphire Community of Schools.
