Blackheath Public School, located in the upper Blue Mountains, prides itself on being a community school. Parents and community members play an important role in the functioning of the school and help to give the school its reputation for quality education. Our commitment to excellence delivers impressive results, including NAPLAN, Check-in Assessments and Progressive Achievement Tests. Students achieve excellent results in competitions such as ICAS, Public Speaking, Debating, Spelling Bee and Tournament of Minds. Our dedicated staff empower students to grow and thrive across the curriculum. Other comprehensive support is provided by our School Counsellor and Wellbeing Nurse to ensure every student is guided on their educational journey.? We offer tailored support for specific needs, allowing each student to explore their passions and reach their potential. Our students also develop confidence and resilience through unique opportunities such as sports competitions, STEM activities, dance, music, choral and film festivals and Peer Support. We have a strong focus on environmental programs, incorporating worm farms and composting as a part of the school’s Green Team. The chicken coop and vegetable gardens yield fresh produce as well as providing a rich learning experience for students.
