Barraba Central School
Our school is described as a 'caring school striving for high academic, sporting and cultural achievements K to12'. Our aim is to provide an environment which is both harmonious and challenging to our students: a place where students can develop the confidence and self esteem that comes with success. We are proudly growing the future! The physical environment of the school is pleasant with well-resourced and maintained buildings set on extensive grounds with many shade trees. The school operates on a split site. Opportunities are taken to ensure that students benefit from the K to 12 nature of the school with teachers operating across the two sites. The school is small enough to allow for a personalised approach to teaching and learning while maintaining a breadth of curriculum and resourcing. We pride ourselves on being neither too big nor too small!
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
