This school’s intake area is changing from 2027
As communities grow and change, the department sometimes needs to adjust local enrolment intake areas. These changes help keep enrolments balanced across schools and make sure every student can access high-quality public education in well-resourced, supportive learning environments.
The intake area for this school is changing for all new enrolments from 2027. The new intake area is viewable via School Finder by selecting 2027 in the “Enrolment Year” filter.
Families affected by this change are guaranteed enrolment at their new local school.
Information on enrolment availability for other nearby non-local public schools is also available via the new School Finder tool.
FAQs:
I have a child already attending this school. Can they stay there if I am now in a different school’s intake area?
Yes, they can. There is no change for students already attending this school.
I have a child already attending this school. Can I enrol their sibling/s at the same school?
Siblings of currently enrolled students will be assessed under the departments enrolment policy .
Families with a child currently enrolled at their assigned local school will retain the ability to enrol siblings at the same school, even if there are changes to the intake area boundaries that make their home address out-of-area.
Can I enrol my child at a school if I am not living in that school’s intake area?
If a school has non-local enrolment availability you may be able to enrol your child at that school, even if you do not live in the intake area. At schools that have limited or very limited non-local availability, non-local enrolment applications will be assessed by the school against specific criteria as per the Enrolment Policy. Information on non-local enrolment availability for all public schools is available via the new School Finder tool.
How are new intake areas developed?
Many factors are considered to inform the development of new intake areas for example:
- enrolment trends
- opportunities to align with primary school local intake areas
- public transport access
- the size and utilisation rate of schools
- the number of students living in each proposed intake area
- and the physical capacity of schools to enrol students
