Bangalow Public School
Bangalow Public School is part of an active, supportive community that makes up the historic township of Bangalow. The school provides a friendly, welcoming environment in which parents and staff work together for the benefit of the students. Our motto 'Our Best Always' is reflected in the academic and sporting successes of our students at district, regional and state level competitions. This is also confirmed by strong results in the school's NAPLAN data. We enjoy a high level of community support, especially in the implementation of the Federally funded Growing Healthy Schools project. Regular Munch and Crunch sessions run by community volunteers and parents, and whole-school Kids In the Kitchen lessons based around using ingredients from the school vegetable garden, provide our students with the skills and knowledge to maintain a healthy lifestyle outside of school. The core values of our school, Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best make up the basis of our student welfare policy with a strong emphasis on rewarding positive student behaviours. The school provides a safe, caring and supportive learning environment for all students.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
