Annandale North Public School (ANPS) is situated in Annandale, an inner-city suburb of Sydney. The school was established in 1907 and the area is rich in history and known for its beautiful homes, historic buildings, churches and wide tree-lined streets. Our aims are to provide a happy and safe learning environment based on quality teaching, participation and high expectations for learning, with opportunities for students to become responsible, self-disciplined members of society. The community values and recognises the importance of the acquisition of knowledge and the development of kindness and courtesy as integral to the development of the whole child. Annandale North is a learning community where the involvement, support and participation of the whole community are valued features. We are known for our strong sense of community and the school enjoys a well-deserved excellent reputation within the local and wider community. Our academic, performing arts and sporting achievements are outstanding. Extra-curricular activities include Italian, public speaking, debating, chess, maths olympiad, student leadership and environmental action programs, sporting programs, choir, a large band and string ensemble program and recorder.
