Learning revolution Lindfield Learning Village opens

Release date: 26 January 2019

The highly-anticipated Lindfield Learning Village will open its doors for the first time this week, with excited teachers and students starting the new school year in the brand new facilities.

Lindfield Learning Village will deliver a highly innovative educational model that sees students advance according to their rate of progress rather than age.

Stage 1 of the project has delivered classrooms capable of catering to 350 students, along with school administration and support facilities. Still in the process of being completed are a new auditorium, food technology classroom kitchens, science laboratories, music rooms and a new gymnasium which will all be delivered in coming weeks.

All classrooms will be air conditioned as part of the NSW Government’s Cooler Classrooms program that is seeing air conditioning delivered in thousands of classrooms across the State.

With Lindfield Learning Village now open, there are currently three more major projects in the Davidson area underway with design work progressing on major upgrades to St Ives North Public School, St Ives High School and Killara High School.

Lindfield Learning Village is one of 17 new and upgraded schools opening across NSW for the first day of the new school year.

The NSW Government is investing $6 billion over the next four years to deliver more than 170 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. In addition, $847 million is being spent on school maintenance over four years.
