Markets
We encourage third parties and community organisations to use our school facilities to operate markets, as a way to support local communities and promote community engagement.
How to apply to host a market:
1. Open Expression of Interest process
Most markets are required to be established through a transparent Expression of Interest (EOI) process, conducted by School Infrastructure as per the Sharing of School Facilities Procedures. This process ensures fairness and quality in market operations.
People wanting to establish or run a regular community market on a NSW school site, need to submit an application via the Markets on School Sites Form.
2. Parents and Citizens fundraising markets
If a school’s Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association wants to operate a fundraising market, a Community Use Agreement can be established. An EOI is not required.
To establish a P&C fundraising market, please contact your local school directly to discuss feasibility and establish a Community Use Agreement.
