Markets

Return to top of page

We encourage third parties and community organisations to use our school facilities to operate markets, as a way to support local communities and promote community engagement.

How to host a market:

1. Open tender process

Most markets are required to be established through a transparent tender process, conducted by School Infrastructure NSW as per the Sharing of School Facilities Procedures. This process ensures fairness and quality in market operations.

To express your interest in hosting a market on a school site, please contact your local school directly. The school will work directly with School Infrastructure NSW to review your request.

2. Parents and Citizens fundraising markets

If a school’s Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association wishes to operate a fundraising market on an ad hoc basis, a community use agreement can be established. A tender is not required.

To establish a P&C fundraising market, please contact your local school directly to discuss feasibility and establish a community use agreement.
