Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design
Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design is the first visual arts and design specialist school in NSW. The school caters for students from years 7 to 12 and delivers two programs: a comprehensive education program for all students as well as a specialised visual arts and design selective stream for students wishing to specialise in this field. The school's Visual Arts and Design programs is delivered through specialist visual arts facilities and augmented by links with the National Art School, College of Fine Arts (NSW University), Sydney College of Fine Arts (Sydney University)the Sydney Institute of TAFE Enmore Design Centre and the Art Gallery of NSW. Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design is a creative collaboration of learners focusing on high academic achievement, enabling students to become active and informed citizens. We pride ourselves on designing futures for our students as such the school's plan includes three strategic directions: - To build the ongoing professional practice of teachers to deliver effective learning through the use of purposeful pedagogy to maximise student achievement. - To continue to enhance the unique learning environment and culture that fosters innovation and the creative dispositions our students need to successfully navigate their world. - To empower students in their development as autonomous, resilient lifelong learners who have the essential skills to engage positively as socially confident citizens in today's world.
