Vincentia High School
Vincentia High School is a coeducational comprehensive community high school located adjacent to Jervis Bay. The school serves a number of communities in the Bay and Basin, Tomerong and Sussex Inlet areas. The school is proud of its connections with the community who support many programs for students. VHS has a large Indigenous population and the local community supports the school with its strong presence at all school functions. The School receives PSFP funding and runs many exciting programs,including specialized tutoring aimed at improving literacy and numeracy skills, Aboriginal languages, dance and didgeridoo groups and alternate education programs for students in years 9 and 10. Year 11 and 12 students can access the after-hours coaching program. VHS has a large support unit with 9 classes . We cater for the whole spectrum of students with disabilities and are proud of our support of these students and parents.
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
