Cambridge Park High School

Cambridge Park High School is a comprehensive high school situated on the outskirts of Penrith, 46 km west of Sydney and is located in the traditional country of the Dharug people. The school offers a holistic education for all students through nurturing and providing for their academic, social and emotional needs. Our school culture focuses on the values of integrity, teamwork and respect. Outstanding academic, cultural and sporting opportunities are available to all students. These opportunities cater for the wide range of interests, abilities and talents that our students possess and are underpinned by quality welfare practises and exemplary teaching. The provision of exemplary teaching and learning is supported by our extensive curriculum opportunities and facilities including: the school's Fitness Lab, Dance Studio, Computer Labs, Metalwork rooms and strong community links. Our community links and effective networks have resulted in our school taking a lead role in the Penrith Vocational Education Network which links with Western Sydney Institute of TAFE, the development of the Cambridge Learning Community (Partner Primary Schools) and the Penrith and Lower Blue Mountains Trade Training Centre. Our school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities including drama, debating, gifted and talented program, vocal group, sports knockouts, magazine production, rock band, ASX share market game and musical and creative arts performance evenings. The positive nature of the school is most evident in its Positive Behaviour for Learning expectations which are ready to learn, respect, responsibility and achievement. This social and personal development program aligns with additional student welfare and personal development programs currently practised at the school, namely: Student Representative Council, senior prefects, peer support program for Year 7 students, after school tuition in our Learning Centre, Welfare team and Year advisors from Years 7 to 12, Welfare programs - personal development workshops for all students, parent workshops, professional learning workshops for staff and parents, work experience and careers guidance, transition programs and our Lead to Learn program. It is through our quality programs and initiatives that we embrace teaching and learning and advocate our school motto: Together we achieve!
