Glendale Technology High School
Glendale Technology High School teaches the whole child to develop into a rounded individual who has a strong sense of social responsibility and the skills, knowledge and understanding to break out of generational cycles. Through sustained, continuous, focussed effort to lift student achievement and challenge perceptions together with our community we will create a school where the students who attend poorly prepared will become more co-operative and motivated, ready to develop the necessary skills for their future success. Among our strengths are an established Positive Behaviour for Learning environment for both students and staff with a curriculum that meets the needs of our students, effective Vocational Education and Training programs with strong links with TAFE, the effective utilization of technology across the school, parent and community involvement and participation in school programs, effective student wellbeing programs that incorporates whole school initiatives and effective communication with students and parents and the wider school community. We have a strong focus on quality teaching, quality learning and strong relationships to ensure students are achieving their personal best. As a recognised AVID school we ensure students are constantly advancing via their own individual determination. We have outstanding links with our Industry Partners, leading to traineeships for senior students, with TAFE and Board of Studies recognition at the completion of the course. The core values of the school are respect, responsibility and personal best. There is a strong partnership with the local Partner Primary Schools through our Innovative, Inspirational Learning Alliance (IILA).
We recognise the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work and live. We pay respect to Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learner in NSW achieves their potential through education.
